Florida State students can catch Hollywood blockbusters at the Askew Student Life Cinema all summer long! Movies like “Gangster Squad”, “Identity Thief”, “Warm Bodies”, and more will be showing during Summer B. All movies are FREE for FSU students with a valid FSU ID.
The SLC also has a fully equipped coffee shop serving lattes, cappuccinos, smoothies, and more! The Grindhouse is open weekday mornings from 8am-Noon, and on movie nights from 5pm-11pm.
The SLC also offers gaming in the Cyber Café, with free WiFi, gaming PCs, Wii, PS3, PS2, Gamecube, and more.
New Seminoles participating in FSU Orientation sessions are being welcomed into the Florida State family by Recognized Student Organizations & local businesses through Seminole Discovery! Seminole Discovery is an organizational fair, scheduled on 12 dates serving 20 separate Orientation sessions, where incoming students have a chance to learn about RSOs and local businesses.
Seminole Discovery will be in the Union Courtyard from 11:30am – 2:30pm on the following days:
Over 1,000 students from across the Florida State campus came together to participate in Dance Marathon for 40 hours, starting Friday, March 22, and ending Sunday, March 24, at the Tallahassee Civic Center. Dancers were on their feet for 40 hours to help raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the FSU College of Medicine. Through their efforts, an amazing total of $701,493 was raised!
