Florida State now has an official US Passport Acceptance Facility located in the International Programs office in the University Center. This event will allow you and/or your student to apply for your passport while you are in town with your student during Parents’ Weekend. Additionally, representatives and students will be on hand to talk about the study abroad opportunities with International Programs.

The Claude Pepper Center was established in 1997 as a result of a collaboration between the Florida State University, the Florida Legislature and the Claude Pepper Foundation. The Center houses The Pepper Foundation, The Pepper Institute on Aging and Public Policy, The Pepper Library, a 5,000sq.ft museum and The Changing Art Gallery. The library and museum document Florida Senator & Congressman Claude Pepper’s long and distinguished life – from New Deal supporter to national spokesman for the elderly.

Every Friday, international and U.S. students, scholars, and faculty gather for free coffee and snacks at the International Center. It's a great place to meet new people from around the world, unwinding after a long week while listening to international music or simply engaging in good conversation.

FSU Legacy Walk through Campus

Florida State University has been paving the way since 1851. In October 2004, the university unveiled the first of four phases of Legacy Walk, a historical tour of campus that focuses on its architecture, sculpture and green spaces. The first segment of the Walk, the Eppes Phase, is named for the founder of the University, Francis Eppes. Encompassing the easternmost portion of campus, the Walk begins at the Eppes statue located near the entrance at the Westcott Building. The path is embedded with symbols and lined with bricks and banners guiding visitors past many of the oldest and most historic buildings on campus before terminating at Dodd Hall. Raised brick podia containing maps and important information about people and events are located at intervals along the walk.

The second phase, the Student Legacy Walk, begins at the Landis Green Legacy Fountain Sculptures. As the name suggests, the Student Legacy Walk passes through the core of student activity, highlighting student leaders of the past and serving as a living legacy to current and future students. Lined with banners depicting campus life, the Student Legacy Walk guides visitors from Landis Green north toward the Bellamy Building, around to newly renovated grounds behind the Crenshaw Building and Moore Auditorium, and circles the Integration Statue before wrapping around the Student Services Building and ending back at Landis.

The Oglesby Gallery was created to provide an exhibition space for artists that are part of the Florida State University community. The goal of the gallery is to provide members of this community, and the Tallahassee region with high quality exhibitions, and performances. This goal shall be accomplished by encouraging various artists to explore contemporary as well as alternative and traditional formats and philosophies. The gallery addresses a multi-cultural population, and ensures access to all individuals who wish to experience our exhibits.

The Florida State University Reservation is a 73-acre facility, with 10 acres, located on beautiful Lake Bradford. The "Rez" is located 1/4 mile from the airport and four miles from the Florida State campus. In our unique natural setting you can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, swimming and many other activities. Alcohol and pets are not allowed at the Rez.
