Dear Recognized Student Organizations:
The Florida State University Student Activities Center is proud to present Seminole Discovery 2009!
Seminole Discovery is an organizational fair held during FSU Orientation sessions and an opportunity to introduce new students to our many campus activities and services. It is a great way to promote your services and this year, due to overlapping dates, Seminole Discovery is scheduled on twelve (12) dates which will actually serve twenty (20) separate Orientation sessions. Seminole Discovery will be placed on the Orientation Schedule during times when students and parents do not have other session commitments. I hope your organization will consider participating!
Seminole Discovery 2009 Schedule
All events will be held from noon — 3 pm in the Oglesby Union Courtyard. Set-up will begin at 11:00 am, and specific table locations are available on a first come, first served basis.
Tuesday and Thursday Dates:
May 19, 21, 26, 28
June 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25
To register, please complete the online form found on this page by Friday, May 15, 2009. Registration will be accepted after May 15th, but space cannot be guaranteed. One (1) table and two (2) chairs will be provided for each participating organization.

Expectations for Seminole Discovery
- Seminole Discovery begins at 12:00 pm and will end at 3:00 pm
- Don't get discouraged if it seems slow when you arrive. It is listed on the Orientation program to begin at noon.
- Set up begins at 11:00 am
- Tables are allocated on a first come first serve basis
- All organizations and businesses that are here for Seminole Discovery must remain in the courtyard area.
- We are happy to be able to give you the opportunity to promote your organization or service, but keep in mind that these students are here for Orientation and it is the University's first priority that students and parents are where they need to be on time with no distractions.
- Food can be given away, but not sold. If items are not pre-packaged please be sure to fill out a food permit by visiting http://www.safety.fsu.edu/foodevent.html.
- Florida State University has Food Services contracts, so while food may be given away, specific restaurants cannot be promoted in the process. For example pizza can be given away, but Dominoes coupons and logos may not be displayed or promoted.
- Florida State University has an exclusive contract with the Coca Cola Company. Only Coke and Coke products can be displayed on this campus. If you have other brands of soda or water to give away, they need to be poured into unmarked cups or peel off the labels.
- Please contact Parking Services to locate available parking spaces during these dates.
We want this to be an enjoyable experience for all involved, so adherence to these policies is imperative to your continued involvement in Seminole Discovery.
