Leaders Listserv

Leaders’ listserv e-mails will go out every Monday. If you wish for your e-mail to go out on a specific Monday, it must be received by the Friday BEFORE. All Leaders e-mails must be typed in the following format or your e-mail may not be sent. Note: No attachments will be sent. E-mails formatted in alternate formats that include items such as text boxes, or symbols may not be sent (as to how the listserv formats these e-mails).

Subject: Post to Leaders listserv (Your subject of your e-mail should state this exactly, you will have the opportunity to type an actual subject in the body of your e-mail)

Body of e-mail, where you type your e-mail message:

Dates to be posted: August 18th, August 26th and September 2nd (The first part of your message MUST be which Mondays you wish for your message to be included in the Leaders e-mails. The dates must be clearly stated, no e-mails will be sent without them. In an effort to keep the e-mails relevant and prevent the same information from running for months at a time, a maximum of three weeks can be submitted on a single e-mail. If you need to have a message run longer than three weeks, please state immediately after listing the dates why you would like to run the message longer. If approved, your message may run longer than three weeks)

(Title) Carwash for the Underwater Basket Weaving Club! (Following the dates to be posted, on a separate line please write a subject/title for your e-mail. This will be used as the heading in the table of contents section at the top of the Leaders listserv e-mails. Keep titles short and to the point, exceedingly long titles may be cut down at an administrator’s discretion or not sent.)

(Your message) Example: The Underwater Basket Weaving Club is holding its annual carwash again on September 5th at the Carwash Express on Monroe/Tharpe. It promises to be a great time with hopping tunes, hypnotic beats and lots of sudsy action. The carwash costs $5.00 and half the proceeds will go to helping our team travel to the Gulf of Mexico and the other half to orphans with diseases. If you would like more information you can contact Jim Smith at basketweavingftw@gmail.com. (On a separate line from the title/subject of your e-mail, begin typing your message. Type your message AS YOU WANT IT TO APPEAR on the leader’s listserv. For example, do not type “Can you please tell everyone we’re having a carwash on September 5th on Monroe/Tharpe?” Your e-mail will not be edited for content, even if mistakes are obvious. Inappropriate messages however will not be sent and may result in a loss of temporary Leaders listserv posting privileges. Try to keep your e-mails short and to the point, exceedingly long e-mails may be shortened or asked for revisions. If you would like to leave contact information, place it in your message, not in a signature. No signatures will be included.)
