Parents’ Weekend 2017: November 3 & 4

Parents’ Weekend is that special time in the fall when families can get better acquainted with the Florida State University campus and enjoy the experience with their student. Parents’ Weekend is a time-honored tradition that has been celebrated at FSU for over 30 consecutive years, and we invite you to take part in the many exciting events we have planned for this annual event. This year’s Parents’ Weekend will be held on the weekend of November 3rd and 4th, 2017.

Online registration for Parents’ Weekend 2017 will begin on Monday, May 22nd, 2017. The Florida State Seminoles will be playing against the Syracuse Orange on November 4th TBA. Tickets for the football game can be purchased at If you are unable to join us for the weekend of November 3 & 4, we encourage you to visit our campus at any time during the year, as we always have something of interest going on, particularly in the areas of academics, athletics, and the arts.

2017 FSU Flying High Circus Spring Home Show Series

For over 60 years the Flying High Circus has been dazzling audiences with its annual spring showcase. Each showcase offers a different theme while the acts remain the same keeping favorites like flying trapeze, juggling, and quartet adagio front and center.

This year the FSU Fly High Circus presents its 2017 Home Show Series each weekend from March 31 to April 22, with performances on the following dates and times:

Spring Fling 2017 – Friday, April 21, 2017

Spring Fling is FSU’s annual signature spring carnival hosted by the Oglesby Union, the campus hub for all student activity. Participants will have range of activities to choose from such as Paint-A-Pot, karaoke, carnival rides and bounce houses, movie showings, late-night cardio parties, and more!

This year marks the 8th annual Spring Fling, and will be held on Friday, April 21. The event is free for FSU students, while prices vary for the General Public depending on the activity. Be sure to come out with friends and family to share free food, smiles, and memories!

Oglesby Gallery Exhibit: Phocus Photography Club presents The Art of Life

The Art Exhibition will begin April 1st – 21st, Monday-Friday 8am-11pm & Sat/Sun from 12noon-11pm.

Opening Reception: Saturday April 1st 6pm-8pm.

This diverse introspective group art exhibition in contemporary photography displaying the various forms of images. Each experimental method is dependent upon the artist, who reflects what each individual sees through the lens.

Leadership Awards Night 2017

Leadership Awards Night is an annual recognition of students, faculty, staff, and organizations that have epitomized the definition of leadership by their exemplary contributions to the Florida State University community through achievement, service, or organizational leadership involvement.

This year’s Leadership Awards Night will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
