Leadership Awards Night is an annual recognition of students, faculty, staff, and organizations that have epitomized the definition of leadership by their exemplary contributions to the Florida State University community through achievement, service, or organizational leadership involvement.
This year’s Leadership Awards Night will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

Prepare for a night of pumpkins, costumes, food, and fun! The annual Haunted Harvest will take place on Friday, October 28th.
Start your evening off with a show! At 6:00pm the Student Life Cinema will be presenting Ghostbusters . Or head over to the Circus Big Top as the FSU Flying High Circus will be exhibiting their Halloween Circus Show. Visit tickets.fsu.edu to purchase general public tickets for the circus show.
Other Haunted Harvest events begin at 7:00pm in the Oglesby Union. These include a Haunted House, cookie decorating, face painting, blacklight chalk art, cake pops, wax hands, corn dogs, movie posters, and more. End the evening with Friday Night Bites, including breakfast foods and pizza or step into the intergalactic universe to enjoy cosmic bowling at Crenshaw Lanes.
Haunted Harvest is free for all children under 12 years old with a paid adult and FSU students with a valid FSU ID. General public admission is $10. There will be participation waivers will be available for rides and events.

Before Florida State University’s fall classes begin Monday, Aug. 29th, students can participate in Seminole Sensation Week from Wednesday, Aug. 24th, to Tuesday, Aug. 30th — 7 days of fun activities designed to help them learn about the many ways to get involved on campus and meet other students who share their interests.
During Seminole Sensation Week, students can enjoy a free outdoor concert featuring Earl Sweatshirt; midnight movies at the Askew Student Life Cinema; karaoke at the Club Downunder; bowling and billiards at Crenshaw Lanes; performances in the Oglesby Union Ballrooms; and much more. The week features a returning event on Aug. 27th, Experience Tallahassee, starting at 4 p.m. at Cascades Park. Experience Tallahassee will allow students from FAMU, TCC, and FSU to connect with local organizations and vendors.
On Sunday, Aug. 28th, the New Student Convocation will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, 505 W. Pensacola St., followed by the President’s Welcome from 3 to 4 p.m.
On Aug. 30th, there will be a signature event, the fall Involvement Fair from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Oglesby Union, which provides students with information on hundreds of recognized student organizations and departments and features Seminole Showcase and several departmental Open Houses.
Take advantage of one of the numerous opportunities offered by the Student Activities Center to shine a spotlight on your organization and make sure to get representation for your Registered Student Organization at the upcoming Fall 2016 Involvement Fair! This event will be held on Tuesday, August 30th from 5:00 to 8:00PM at many locations in and around the Oglesby Union. From student feedback, this event now starts earlier in the evening and has been extended by an hour.

Seminole Discovery is an opportunity for recognized student organizations at The Florida State University and local businesses around Tallahassee to welcome our newest Seminoles to the Florida State family. It is an organizational fair held during FSU Orientation sessions and is a great way to promote your organization and services. Due to overlapping orientation dates, Seminole Discovery is scheduled on twelve (12) dates which will actually serve twenty (20) separate Orientation sessions.
