On November 14th, 1964, an extensive enlargement of the Student Center was constructed and dedicated. Named the University Union, the complex contained dining rooms, game rooms, a barbershop and a beauty shop, a ticket office, lounges, an auditorium, offices, meeting rooms, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
Since then it has grown to incorporate a circus, an art center, a bowling alley, a music venue, and much more. On this day in 2014, we would like to celebrate the 50th Birthday for what we now know this building as the Oglesby Union.
Join us for a birthday celebration with FREE food, music carnival rides, movies, sidewalk art, bowling & more!
