Seminole Sensation Week 2016

Before Florida State University’s fall classes begin Monday, Aug. 29th, students can participate in Seminole Sensation Week from Wednesday, Aug. 24th, to Tuesday, Aug. 30th — 7 days of fun activities designed to help them learn about the many ways to get involved on campus and meet other students who share their interests.

During Seminole Sensation Week, students can enjoy a free outdoor concert featuring Earl Sweatshirt; midnight movies at the Askew Student Life Cinema; karaoke at the Club Downunder; bowling and billiards at Crenshaw Lanes; performances in the Oglesby Union Ballrooms; and much more. For a complete schedule, visit ssweek.fsu.edu.

The week features a returning event on Aug. 27th, Experience Tallahassee, starting at 4 p.m. at Cascades Park. Experience Tallahassee will allow students from FAMU, TCC, and FSU to connect with local organizations and vendors.

On Sunday, Aug. 28th, the New Student Convocation will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, 505 W. Pensacola St., followed by the President’s Welcome from 3 to 4 p.m.

On Aug. 30th, there will be a signature event, the fall Involvement Fair from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Oglesby Union, which provides students with information on hundreds of recognized student organizations and departments and features Seminole Showcase and several departmental Open Houses.
